Jen is the stepmother of Wyatt and biological mother to Brick. She is Casey McMurtry's sister-in-law. In Season 10, Jen moved with her sons to Hudson following the death of her husband, Curtis (Casey's brother).
At this time, there is no known surname for Jen, as McMurtry is Casey's married name (Casey was married to the deceased Hank "The Tank" McMurtry). "McMurtry" therefore cannot be Jen's surname, as Curtis would not have been a McMurtry.
Jen is currently manager of Maggie's Diner and Lou's Dude Ranch. There have been hints of a growing friendship between Peter Morris and Jen for the past few seasons, although in the second episode of Season 13 they were in a relationship (romantically).
